Become a Global Volunteer
Looking for flexibility and creativity? The Global Volunteer path lets you design your own journey—host events, write articles, start a podcast, or come up with something entirely new! There’s no formal structure, just your passion and ideas. All we ask is that you’re listed as a local contact on the 91ÊÓƵwebsite and that you represent the University respectfully. It’s the perfect way to dip your toes in and explore what inspires you.
Lead an Alumni Network
Want to take the lead and make a lasting impact? As a Network Coordinator, you’ll guide alumni engagement in your region—organising meaningful activities, building connections, and supporting the professional growth of our global 91ÊÓƵcommunity. This two-year role includes hosting at least two activities annually, engaging respectfully and being listed as a local contact on the 91ÊÓƵwebsite. With full support from ANU, you’ll have everything you need to create real change and lasting impact on our global 91ÊÓƵcommunity.

By participating, alumni can mentor students, contribute their expertise, and help build a more compassionate, globally connected future.

How to get started?
If you’re passionate about bringing 91ÊÓƵalumni together — whether by location, profession or shared interest — you could play a key role as a Global Volunteer or Network Coordinator.
Start by filling out the to let us know you're keen to get involved.
We'll work with you to explore your interests and goals as a volunteer (e.g. in person or digital events, alumni interviews, podcasts and more).
We'll also help you find your target audience and provide you with the tools you need to get you started.
Together, we will explore whether a Network Coordinator or Global Volunteer role is the right fit for your goals and your region.
Now it's time to start planning your volunteer journey. Whether you’re interested in hosting a meetup, starting a podcast or organising a local community initiative - we're happy to support.
For events and meetups, please submit your at least six weeks before your planned date—this gives us plenty of time to help bring your vision to life and give your event the attention it deserves.
Once we've been in touch to confirm the schedule, it's time to get the word out! Kick off the excitement by posting on social media, sending emails, or making a few calls. And you won’t be doing it alone—we’re here to support your promotion and help amplify your initiative across the global 91ÊÓƵcommunity.
